1.
Volunteer
Volunteers have the unique opportunity to join us in our service to children.
Being a volunteer is an important way in which an individual can impact the lives of our
children by being a positive role model as you work with children at the Homes or within
the communities.
You can offer your services as a tutor to our children by providing them
with extra support, encouragement, and other educational opportunities leading
to success and accomplishments in their school commitments.
2. Charitable Giving
Charity is one of the
basic principles of Freemasonry. Charity can be expressed in
many different ways — the giving
of yourself by bringing a smile to the
face of
others or by offering support to a child so that he or she may
become a productive member of society. Over the years, the
generosity of others has assisted our Homes to achieve success in
fulfilling our Mission.
You can become a lasting part of history as we build the Walk of
Hope, a cobblestone walkway leading around the Murphysboro Home's
campus. Each stone is cast with the donor's name or a memorial. For
a $100.00 contribution to the Home, you can purchase a brick for our
Walk of Hope. Your name or the name of whomever you choose will be
permanently fired into the cobblestone. Your gift will not only
become a part of the physical structure of the facility, but will
also become an enduring tribute to your generosity.
3. Planned Giving
The opportunities available
for Planned Giving will support, sustain, and ensure that our Homes
will continue to serve and meet the needs of the children.
There are several different
types of Planned Giving, such as bequests, charitable gift
annuities, trust, or memorial gifts. Your thoughtfulness in
implementing one or more types of Planned Giving ensures our ability
to continue caring and nurturing these children within the State of
Illinois.
